    Spring/Summer hours:
    Tuesdays, Thursdays & Saturdays 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
    Fall hours:(begin 10/6/2024 thru 12/8/2024)
    Tuesdays, Thursday & Saturdays 10:00 am - 7:00 pm
    Sundays 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

All dates and hours of operation are “WEATHER PERMITTING”. The site MAY be CLOSED on days it is scheduled to be open if inclement weather or other safety factors dictate it being necessary to close the site.

Usage Guidelines

  • This site is for the personal use of township residents to dispose of yard waste from their Laketon Township property ONLY. No one will be permitted to use the site until a yard waste card is purchased.
  • NO contractors/businesses/paid services are permitted to use the site.
  • A resident wishing to use the site must purchase a Yard Waste Card each year, the card will ONLY be available for purchase AT THE YARD WASTE SITE during its standard seasonal operating hours.
  • An attendant is on site to verify residency and will ask to see your driver’s license and yard waste card, so please have these items ready and available. Thank you for your cooperation in providing proof of your Laketon Township Residency each and every time you visit/use the site.

 

Purchasing a Yard Waste Card

Yard Waste Cards can be purchase for $25 on site. Cards can be purchase via Cash or Check Only, the site will have limited funds so please provide exact change.

Accepted Materials

  • Grass clippings – can be brought loose or in paper or plastic bags – however plastic bags must be emptied and removed from the site.
  • Leaves – can be brought loose or in paper or plastic bags – however plastic bags must be emptied and removed from the site.
  • Brush – Up to three (3) inches in diameter, nothing larger!

Other yard/garden waste – but nothing over 3 inches in diameter, no stumps and no root balls

Dump Cards

Laketon Township provides a “dump card” to township residents for two (2) discounted trips to the landfill per calendar year. Residents of Laketon Township must stop into the Laketon Township Hall to obtain the “dump card”. Each household is limited to one “dump card” per calendar year.
